We talk about diffusing essential oils around the EuroSpa Aromatics blog quite often, and for good reason – there are a ton of benefits that come with diffusing and it’s so easy to do. Simply add water to your diffuser, a few drops of essential oil (or multiple oils) or sprays of our ShowerMists, and turn it on. That’s it! It really is that simple.
Here are some of the benefits of using an essential oil diffuser:
Consistent Inhalation
When you run a diffuser, all the benefits of the oils you are using get put in the air around you. You’re constantly breathing in those amazing benefits! There’s no need to remember to take a supplement or roll on your oils throughout the day. Depending on the capacity of your diffuser, you may only need to refill the water and oils once (if that!). Some diffusers can run for 8 hours at a time.
Non-Toxic Scents
Did you know that many scented candles have chemicals in them? It’s true! When you burn non-natural candles in your home, you’re releasing all those chemicals into the air around you. By using a diffuser instead, you can still have a soft ambiance since most diffusers have a light you can turn on AND you can make your own wonderful-smelling scent combinations.
Better Sleep
Many people reap the amazing sleep benefits of Lavender essential oil every night. If you take a shower before bed, let it get steamy and spritz a few sprays of Lavender-Infused Eucalyptus ShowerMist and then set up your diffuser by your bed, add Lavender, and let it run throughout the night. You’ll be inhaling those amazing benefits while you dream!
Air Purifying
There are many essential oils that have been proven to purify the air around you, but our favorite is Eucalyptus. This oil is antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory in nature, and when you diffuse it in your home all of those properties are put into the air around you (and it smells great!).
Invigorating
Just like there are many oils that can purify the air around you, there are many that can wake you up and invigorate you. Citrus oils and Peppermint are great for this and they smell delicious combined together. First thing when you wake up, add a couple sprays each of our Citrus-Infused and Mint-Infused Eucalyptus ShowerMists to the water in your diffuser and get your day started on a good note. These oils are also great for mental clarity and focus.
Have you started diffusing yet?
It’s so easy and has great benefits!

If we’re being honest, most of us probably deal with low energy at least once in awhile. This could be from a variety of factors: lack of sleep, hormonal imbalance, stress, poor eating habits, and so much more. Instead of resorting to energy drinks or shots of espresso (which will most likely make you crash even harder after their effects wear off!), try using essential oils as a natural and more sustainable energy boost.
Three of our favorite oils for a natural energy boost are Eucalyptus, Citrus, and Peppermint. All of these oils have dozens of amazing properties, and boosting energy is one of them! Just a sniff or two can be enough to invigorate you during that 2pm slump.
Here are a few more ways to use these oils for a natural energy boost:
Add them to your diffuser
A diffuser is a great way to get all the benefits of essential oils while going about your day. It’s easy and makes your home smell amazing. You don’t just have to use one of these oils at a time – try making your own cocktail of essential oils!
Citrus oils combined with peppermint are a great wintery combination that will not only energize you, but will help cleanse the air in your home and improve focus.
Apply topically
Rub a few drops of either Eucalyptus, Citrus, or Peppermint Oil on your temples (be careful around your eyes!) and on other pressure points like your wrists to get the benefits into your system. After you apply, take a few deep breaths directly from the bottle for an instant pick-me-up.
Use our ShowerMists
Run a steamy shower in the morning and spritz a few sprays of either our 100% Pure Eucalyptus, Citrus-Infused, or Mint-Infused Eucalyptus ShowerMists into the steam. Or you can try mixing them like in your diffuser! This is a great way to get all the benefits of these amazing essential oils into your system right away in the morning.

When the air becomes colder and more dry during the winter months, many people often find that their skin also becomes dry and itchy. There are tons of dry skin remedies out there, but our favorite is a more natural approach: Lavender.
Lavender essential oil is most commonly known for its calming properties. Many people diffuse it next to their bed while they sleep or rub it on their pulse points before bed to ensure a restful night’s sleep. Not only will Lavender help calm your mind, it will help calm your skin as well.
Here are a couple ways to heal your dry skin with Lavender:
Dilute it in a carrier oil and moisturize
Your first instinct when your skin starts to feel dry might be to slather on a thick layer of lotion or body butter, BUT that actually may not be helping as much as you think it is. When using thick creams or lotions, many of them will not completely penetrate the skin to really moisturize because they’re so thick.
Instead, find a carrier oil that you love (fractionated coconut oil or jojoba oil are a great place to start), add a few drops of Lavender, and rub that into your skin. Not only will these moisturizing oils help along with the Lavender, they will absorb into the skin more quickly and completely than most lotions.
Use our Lavender-Infused Pure Eucalyptus ShowerMist
Turn on the hot water in your shower and wait for the room to get steamy. Spritz a few sprays of the ShowerMist into the steam cloud and spray again as necessary while you soak in (literally!) the benefits.
Not only will you feel relaxed afterward, your skin will also thank you for all the moisturizing properties that Lavender has!
While you are using Lavender to heal your dry skin this winter, you’re also getting its other wonderful benefits as well. You’ll feel more relaxed AND your skin will thank you.
Why do you love Lavender?

This time of year, many of us get at least one bout of congestion or a cough (or both at the same time!). And with the holidays coming up, no one has time to get sick with all the festivities and gatherings with family and friends! Eucalyptus has been used for years and years to relieve both coughing and congestion with much success. Just one little whiff can clear your sinuses!
Here are a few ways that you can use Eucalyptus to keep yourself healthy this season:
Use an Aromatherapy Diffuser
Diffusers are a great way to get essential oils like Eucalyptus in the air of your home to reap all their benefits. Just fill up the tank with water, spritz some Pure Eucalyptus Oil ShowerMist into the water, and start diffusing. Keep it running while you go about your day and then keep it by your bed to run at night when congestion and coughs seem to get worse.
Make a natural chest rub
A great way to relieve coughs and congestion is to make a natural chest rub. This is easy AND effective. Just melt down two tablespoons of shea butter in a double boiler, remove from heat, add 12 drops of Eucalyptus Oil and 12 drops of Lavender Oil, stir together, and carefully transfer to a container with a tight-fitting lid, and wait for it to set. Use this chest rub at night and your sinuses will thank you!
Take a therapeutic shower
Moisture and humidity are very helpful when it comes to coughs and congestion. Run a steamy-hot shower and use any of our ShowerMists to turn a simple shower into a healing and relaxing experience. Before bed, try our Lavender-Infused Eucalyptus ShowerMist to make sure you get all the benefits of Eucalyptus (decongestant, antibacterial, antiviral, etc.) while also getting all the benefits of Lavender to help you sleep better at night. When you get up in the morning, use our Citrus-Infused Eucalyptus ShowerMist to make sure you are invigorated and ready to take on the day!
Having a cold and being congested isn’t fun, but these natural solutions will help you feel better in no time.

The holidays are right around the corner and that means it’s time to start thinking about gift-giving if you haven’t already! We all have people on our lists that are hard to buy for – either because they haven’t given you any ideas, already have everything they need or are just plain picky. One unique and timeless gift that most everyone could use a little more, but probably wouldn’t ask for, is aromatherapy.
By giving the people in your life products that don’t just smell nice, but have actual health benefits, you’re showing them that you really care about them and their well-being. There are not many better ways to say “I love you” than that!
Here are a few of our favorite products that have aromatherapy benefits that are great for gifting this holiday season:
Fragrance Warmer & Menthol Crystal Set
Our Menthol Crystals are colorless and clear, and a natural byproduct of steam-distilled peppermint essential oil. Peppermint is the perfect home remedy for nausea, headaches, and stress, but can also be used a just an everyday pick-me-up when your brain is feeling foggy. Peppermint stimulates the mind and increases focus. We could all use a little bit more of that, right?
Our Fragrance Warmer is not only easy to use but also beautiful. The soft light really sets the mood in a room and you can also use it for wax melts too, if you have them. These two products combined are a game-changer and a perfect gift set!
Lavender-Infused Pure Eucalyptus Oil Yoga Mat Cleaner
The yogi in your life will love this yoga mat cleaner. It’s something that they probably wouldn’t have thought to ask for, but really need! This Eucalyptus-based cleaner utilizes plant-based oils and enzymatic action to remove makeup, perspiration, dirt, and body oils from yoga mats without compromising the non-slip surface.
The Lavender scent has a calming effect, which is perfect for a yoga practice and Eucalyptus is antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic, and exhilarating. It’s great all around!
ShowerMists
GIve the gift of an aromatherapeutic steam room this holiday season! Our ShowerMists are a great self-care tool and also have amazing health benefits. They turn a regular shower into an experience when they are spritzed into the steam from a hot shower.
There are several varieties to choose from, depending on what kind of benefits the person you are buying for wants, including citrus-infused, menthol-infused, lavender-infused, and more. If you aren’t sure, might as well buy a couple different kinds to be safe.
If you still aren’t sure what to choose, grab a gift card and let your loved one shop for themselves!
Are you giving the gift of aromatherapy this season?

Winter is a wonderful time of year. The air feels crisp, the holiday season is around the corner, and (depending on where you live) you might even have a beautiful blanket of snow outside! One downside of the winter season, though, is that cold and flu viruses are being passed around like wildfire. As a spa owner/operator, you can be proactive against these germs by diffusing eucalyptus oil in your steam room or sauna. Not only will the refreshing scent be pleasing to your clients, but they’ll love the benefits too.
Here are just a few reasons why you should diffuse eucalyptus oil in your steam room this winter:
It is antiseptic, antibacterial, and antiviral
Cold and flu season is a great time to diffuse eucalyptus because of its healing properties. In a season where it feels like everyone is sick (or at least has the sniffles), eucalyptus can help prevent sickness as well as help those who have fallen under the weather.
It helps get rid of sinus inflammation
Congestion is a thing of the past when using eucalyptus! Combined with the moisture of the steam room, eucalyptus is a powerhouse when it comes to sinus congestion. It is proven to decongest and reduce inflammation. Try our Menthol-Infused Eucalyptus ShowerMist for a clean, crisp, and minty steam room experience, while also getting all the health benefits.
It is refreshing and energizing
The scent of eucalyptus is variously described as woody-sweet, cooling, refreshing, energizing, fresh, pleasing and revitalizing. In a time of year where many people feel cooped up and tend to have low energy, using a scent that feels refreshing can make your guests feel the same way!
Eucalyptus is a hardworking plant, that’s for certain. We especially love eucalyptus for its natural antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic, exhilarating, decongestant, and expectorant properties. You can fall in love with eucalyptus, too! Try our aromatherapy diffuser set, our invigorating 100% Pure Eucalyptus Oil ShowerMist, or our 100% pure eucalyptus oil today!
