Tea Tree Oil can help reduce acne.

Tea tree oil can be used as a natural alternative to harsh acne cleansers and is just as effective as benzoyl peroxide. Mix a few drops of the oil with two teaspoons of raw honey to create your own face wash. Just remember to rinse with water!

Tea Tree Oil is great for the scalp.

Do you suffer from dandruff or a dry, itchy scalp? Tea tree oil is a great remedy and won’t cause excessive drying! Mix a few drops with some coconut milk (add a little lavender oil for a sweet scent) and massage it in while taking a shower.

Tea Tree and Eucalyptus Oil are a tough allergen-fighting pair.

Both oils act as a decongestant and can help clear stuffy sinuses. When used together they can reduce inflammation, ease pain, and boost immunity. This shower spray will have you feeling better in minutes.

Speed Up Hair Growth With These Little Known Natural Tips!

Long hair is a coveted feature by so many women and there’s nothing more frustrating when trying to grow it out, to see it stop growing all together. Talk about practicing patience! But if your genetics aren’t holding you back, you haven’t been stressed, you’ve been eating well and your hormones are happy and balanced, you won’t want to miss out on these helpful and natural tips!

Keep it trimmed
Clean up the ends of your hair 1/4 inch every 6-8 weeks.  It will clean the damaged ends off, allowing the shaft to continue growing out rather than in many damaged directions.

Scalp Massages
Just heat up a hot oil treatment, rub it into your scalp, wait a little while, and you’ll see the difference — your hair will feel thicker, softer, and longer! While you can always use a store-bought treatment, homemade hot oil treatments work just as well. Jojoba oil, coconut oil, olive oils, and most other oils you like will do wonders; just heat it up and apply thoroughly.

Make a Protein Mask
A lot of people believe that this tip concerning how to make your hair grow faster doesn’t work well, but egg whites have been known for their healing properties and their ability to replenish hair and restore its softness and shine! Just crack open a few eggs, strain out the yolks, and make an egg white mask for your hair. Your hair will look ten times healthier instantly and will feel a lot stronger as well — which, ultimately, will allow your hair to grow faster!

Stay Hydrated
Possibly one of the most helpful but neglected tips out there. Water helps the body to process and flush out toxins faster, which makes it a quick and easy natural method that will make your hair grow a lot faster. If you drink about 8 cups of water a day, not only will your body feel better, but your hair will get stronger. The stronger the hair, the faster that it grows. Drinking water also keeps your hair hydrated from the inside out. Hydrated hair is happy hair because, when dry, your hair is much more likely to break.

Heat Protect
Try to stay away from blow dryers and heated tools, as they burn the hair. If you MUST use them, be sure to use a heat protecting spray or creme first, before styling. Keep in mind that the sun damages hair as well. In warm weather, or intense sunlight (even in the snow) keep a hat on to protect your hair from over drying and burning.

Eat Fats and Proteins
The old low fat diets are actually quite counter productive to your health and hair growth. Did you know that what you eat actually makes a difference in how fast your hair grows? If you eat a lot of good fats and protein-rich foods, you will see a huge difference in the quality of your hair, as well as the speed with which it grows. Things like fish, eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables, and even different meats all make a difference, so cut down on junk food and focus on heal meals.

Eucalyptus Spray
Get into a sauna, steam room or even your shower, one to two times a week and spray eucalyptus oil shower spray near your head, about arms length away; never onto the head directly. The circulation promoting plant oils will penetrate through your open pores, waking up the follicles. Add to this a gentle scalp massage and you’ll have one happy head! You can also make a topical essential oil blend. I suggest mixing three drops of lavender oil, three drops of rosemary oil, and two drops each of thyme oil and cedarwood oil, along with some jojoba oil. All of this should go right onto your head and, I promise, the mixture will enhance your hair and make it grow that much faster!

Dry skin is an uncomfortable byproduct of winter. Going from an overly heated car or indoor space into the crisp cold winter air can be a real shock to your skin, causing tightening, dehydration, and flaking. Nobody wants that. That’s why we want to share some tried and true home remedies to an annoying problem.

Here are 3 Easy Ways to Prevent Dry Winter Skin

Exfoliation

An exfoliating scrub made by concocting lemon juice and sugar leaves your skin soft and glowing. Mix a teaspoon of sugar and mix it with the juice of half a lemon, using cotton balls to scrub all over the face. With a circular massage of the skin with this beauty scrub, rough spots on the face become even. Lemons remove patches on the skin and help skin cells regenerate. Put a jar of it on your nightstand and apply it regularly.

Steam

Winter is not a friend to dry skin. The heating in homes evaporates the water from the air, making it very dry. Humidifiers are useful at a time like this by adding moisture to the air and thus hydrating your dry skin. Also, add a few sprays of our Eucalyptus Oil ShowerMist to the room to enhance the health and wellness benefits. Eucalyptus in the air will not only open up the bronchial passages for better respiratory health but also cleanse your skin.

Moisturize

Moisture forms a protective layer on the skin by keeping it hydrated. Oils that are easily absorbed by the skin, such as coconut, jojoba, and almond, tend to be better at keeping the real moisture in, allowing the skin the best nourishment possible. Coconut oil makes the skin feel soft and removes its previous scaly characteristic by moistening it naturally. It’s so easy to transform your shower into a spa-like eucalyptus steam room…

  1. Begin by spraying one or two spritzes into the palms of your hands.
  2. Rub vigorously together to create heat.
  3. Now cup and bring slowly to your nose and breath in gently.
  4. Before you get in the shower, run hot water and spray into the steam.
  5. While you’re in the shower, you can also spray above the shower head.
  6. You may use between 5 to 10 sprays depending on how rich you want the scent.”

Let’s start with gratitude.  Similar to the above point about looking at yourself in the mirror with love and appreciation, gratitude is a very complimenting look to a person’s face.  When a person is in gratitude for their life, growth and blessings, despite hardship, there is an unmatchable glow that overtakes their face. Gratitude gets you into a space of loving yourself, your family, life and even potential possibilities, not to mention allows you to be aware of further opportunities before you.  What does that lead to? Joy. Gratitude is the mother of joy.  Nurture gratitude and the joy on your face will be beaming. 

Lemon Water
On a more practical note, try starting your day with a hot cup of lemon water.  Simply make hot water as you would for tea, add the juice of 1/2 a lemon and sweeten with honey or stevia to taste if needed.  This cleanses your digestive system, detoxifies the skin and blood, jump starts your energy and metabolism and neutralizes your body ph to a more alkaline level.  Disease and instability of health thrive in an acidic body. The opposite of that is an alkaline body.  Be healthy. Start your day alkaline. (side note: remember how lemon water cleanses the digestive system? the kidneys are part of that.  You know those bags and dark circles under your eyes?  Those are from overwhelmed kidneys.)



Face Massage

About those overwhelmed kidneys and their corresponding eye bags.  When the kidneys and even liver are over taxed, the lymph in the eyes begin to back up. Basically, the bags are just toxic congestion that needs to move through and out of your system. So if you’re ready to get rid of them, definitely drink the lemon water and THEN do this exercise.

  • close your eye.  place four finders (except the thumb) under the eye and gently apply pressure with the finger tips along the under eye/eye bag area. 
  • take your middle fingers and gently sweep the same area from the inside to the outer corner underneath the eye – be careful not to stretch the skin. 
  • repeat this action 5-10 times when applying moisturizer morning and night. this will aid in keeping the area flushed. 



Eucalyptus Steam 

Eucalyptus Shower Spray is a great addition to any anti-aging routine.  Simply turn up the steam in the shower and spray the eucalyptus onto the walls and into the steam.
